The Music Service is the lead organisation in the North Yorkshire Music Hub. As a service we offer instrumental lessons in schools on a wide variety of instruments for all levels. There are a range of options available, from individual to group lessons. Remissions are available for those on Free School Meals and working tax credits. Please see the Fees page for details.
Pupils are guaranteed 28 lessons but most will receive 32 barring school closures for training days, exams etc. If a pupil is offered less than 28 lessons in a full year, you will be entitled to a refund subject to our terms and conditions.
We have a large team of specialist staff who are all DBS checked and go through the NYC protocols for recruitment. They are observed every year to ensure quality and attend regular training days to make sure they are up to date with the latest information, resources and National Guidance.
Lessons are available on the following instruments. If we feel that an instrument other than the one you have chosen is more suitable due to age or circumstance, our Instrumental Lead team will advise alternative options.
